Guide Friendship Fund

Girls everywhere get the chance to make a difference with Girlguiding UK’s Guide Friendship Fund (GFF).

GFF helps overseas Guide Associations by funding projects that benefit girls and young women and their wider community, via the WAGGGS Mutual Aid scheme. Past projects have engaged with issues such as literacy, income generation, rights awareness, self-esteem and health.

The GFF also provides grants of up to £250 for UK units in need, for anything from paintbrushes to adventures out of town, as well as supporting units or Associations who need support after natural or emergency disasters.

Putting girls in the lead all over the world is made possible by your donations.

Confusion with the World Thinking Day Fund

The GFF is separate to the World Thinking Day Fund (WTD), although there is often confusion between the two. The GFF is run by Girlguiding UK, and makes donations to individual Associations. The WTD Fund is run by WAGGGS, and the money is used to support all of their work with guiding around the world.
